Fire Breaks Out at Kearsley High School Recreation Center Addition, No Injuries Reported

FLINT, Mich. — Kearsley High School families were alerted Thursday about a fire at the new recreation center addition currently under construction at the high school.

According to school officials, first responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the fire department is actively addressing the situation. Following the fire chief’s guidance, all students were promptly evacuated to the school auditorium as a precaution.

“There have been no injuries,” school officials stated in a message to families. “The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”
