In response to questions raised on social media about the investigation, the Frankenmuth Police Department assured the public that all available public and private surveillance cameras in the area have been reviewed. Officials emphasized their commitment to Bacon’s family and the search efforts.
Search operations have focused on the Cass River and surrounding areas. Last week, the Lapeer County Search and Rescue Team conducted a ground search and determined Bacon is not on land in the targeted area. On Wednesday, the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department’s dive team deployed a sonar-equipped boat to search the river. A possible image located by sonar was investigated by a diver but was determined to be debris.
Multiple agencies are involved in the search, including:
- Frankenmuth Police Department
- Frankenmuth Fire Department Drone Unit
- Lapeer County Search and Rescue (using search dogs and a sonar boat)
- Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team and Drone Unit
- Michigan State Police K-9 Division
Authorities pledge to continue search operations and provide updates as new information becomes available. Anyone with information on Bacon’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Frankenmuth Police Department.
