FRANKENMUTH, MI — Authorities have confirmed that a missing person, identified as Michael Dale Savard, was found deceased near the Cass River on Friday afternoon. The discovery came after the Frankenmuth Police Department received a report around 12:00 PM regarding a vehicle connected to the missing individual.
Officers were dispatched to the location south of East Tuscola Road, near the Tuscola County line. Upon arrival, they identified the vehicle as belonging to Mr. Savard and found his body a short distance away. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigations indicate the vehicle had been driven through a field off Tuscola Road, with the incident taking place on the Tuscola County side. Tuscola County officials were promptly notified and responded, taking charge of the investigation and coordinating with the medical examiner’s office.
The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation, with the Frankenmuth Police Department providing assistance as required. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under review.
