FLINT, MI — Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson announced the arrests of eight men in the first GHOST (Global Human Oppression Strike Team) operation briefing of 2025, aimed at combating sexual exploitation of minors. The arrests were made after the men attempted to engage in sexual activities with individuals they believed to be underage girls.
During a detailed briefing, Sheriff Swanson highlighted the circumstances of each arrest:
Marvin Estrada Sarmiento, a 36-year-old illegal immigrant from Honduras working as a carpet layer in Burton, admitted to seeking oral sex from a 15-year-old for $60. He has previous Title 42 expulsions and was living in Flint with his wife.
Winfredo Osorto Maradiage, also from Honduras, aged 46, was residing in a motel in Flint Township. He confessed to coming to meet a 15-year-old for oral sex for $50, stating he was not concerned about being deported.
Jordan Henry, a 38-year-old from Lapeer, a welder and father, claimed he did not believe the girl was 15 based on her picture and intended to “donate” rather than pay for sex.
Milan Mikho, a 25-year-old student from McComb, agreed to pay $150 for sex with a 15-year-old, including a “girlfriend experience.”
Kyle Horiski, a 22-year-old active duty U.S. Army soldier on holiday leave from Fort Bragg, was found with bulletproof vests and ammunition in his vehicle, admitting he was looking for prostitutes but agreed to sex with a 15-year-old.
Kendall Dunbar, 31, on parole, initially approached but then retreated, admitting he knew he was chatting with a 15-year-old but felt it was wrong.
Justin Keeler, 33, attempted to meet a second underage girl for sex the same day, bringing a Faygo pop and chocolate bar but later changed his mind upon arrival.
Brian McCarrick, 32 from Bay City, had been grooming a 13-year-old girl through text and Snapchat, providing her with a cell phone to facilitate their meetings for sex in an empty building.
Sheriff Swanson emphasized the importance of parental vigilance and open conversations about safety with children. He stated, “Parents have to have these conversations with their children, you have to make them comfortable so they can tell you that this happened and say it made me nervous or made me uncomfortable.”
