lint, MI – A Florida mother is making a desperate plea for help in finding her 35-year-old daughter, Krystal Johnson, known by the nickname Tina, who has been missing since December 27. Madeleine Thomas, speaking in an emotional interview, says she has not heard from her daughter, which is highly unusual given their daily communication.
Krystal was last in contact with her mother when she reacted to a picture Madeleine sent her, adding a heart emoji. Since then, all attempts to reach her have gone unanswered, including calls, texts, and messages through social media. “Even if she loses her phone, she always finds a way to contact me,” Madeleine said. “This time, there’s been no word.”

Missing Person Report Filed
Madeleine has filed a missing person report with the Flint Police Department, though she expressed frustration over the process. “It took me a week to get the report filed,” she said, citing issues with the online reporting system. The report was finalized on January 3, but Madeleine has yet to receive a copy, which she says is critical for further action.
Concerns About Domestic Situation
Krystal had been planning to visit her mother in Florida for Christmas, but her identification documents, including her ID and birth certificate, mysteriously went missing, preventing her from traveling. Madeleine believes Krystal’s boyfriend may hold key information about her disappearance. “He throws her out regularly, and I think she’s afraid to leave him,” she said.
Madeleine also noted that the Flint police have not yet reached out to the boyfriend. “I gave them his information when I filed the report, but I don’t think they’ve been able to locate him either.”
Desperate Plea for Help
Madeleine urges anyone who sees Krystal to contact the police or encourage her to call home. “I just need to know she’s safe,” she said. “If she’s scared or in trouble, she has a place to go. I will move mountains for her.”
Krystal has two children who live with Madeleine, and they have also been unable to reach her. “This is not like her,” Madeleine said. “She’s always been in contact, especially with her daughter.”
Call to Action
The Flint Police Department and local officials have yet to comment on the case. Madeleine has reached out to the mayor’s office and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department but has received no response.
With the help of local media and social media outreach, Madeleine hopes to bring attention to Krystal’s disappearance. “It shouldn’t matter that she’s 35,” she said. “If this was a millionaire missing, they’d be on it immediately. Every human life matters.”
Anyone with information on Krystal Johnson’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Flint Police Department immediately
