BAY CITY, Mich. — A 33-year-old man from Bay City was hospitalized Monday afternoon following a shooting incident that occurred after he allegedly broke into a residence on the 200 block of N. Jefferson Street, police said.
Officers from the Bay City Department of Public Safety responded to the scene around 4:48 p.m. April 1, where they found the man outside the home with two gunshot wounds to his torso. Preliminary investigations suggest the man, who was reportedly armed with a pipe, had entered the residence before being shot by an occupant.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition, according to officials.
