(NewsNation) — As the southern border crisis grows, the northern border is seeing record numbers of illegal immigrants as well. “A New Jersey-based smuggling group run by migrants is using the northern border to smuggle illegal migrants into the U.S.”
The leaders of this smuggling ring reportedly were based in New Jersey and were making $6,000 per migrant that they successfully got across the U. S.-Canadian border. According to court documents, most of the illegal immigrants crossed the border in the Vermont area. Police also arrested two men that are accused of being the ring-leaders of the smuggling ring. A third man is still at large.
