Ridgely,  Maryland – The three person town council has decided to suspend its entire police force.  Citizens and businesses in the area say they are concerned about the council’s decision as it leaves the town open for increased crime.  No reason has been given for the suspension.

“It doesn’t add up,” said Gennie Woo, a business owner in downtown Ridgely since 1983. “Everybody is skeptical about what happened. We just want to know how and why.”

Caroline County Sheriffs department and the Maryland state police will be responding to calls for service which has residents worried about slow response times.
