OXFORD, Mich – Tate Myre and three of his classmates were shot and killed at Oxford High School on November 30. 2021 when a school shooter opened fire inside the school. Seven others inside the school were injured.
A report commissioned by the Oxford School District was recently released which detailed the failure of the district and the staff. The word “failure” shows up 46 times in the report.
The responsibility for this failure does not lie solely with these individuals who interacted with the Shooter on November 30. Individuals at all levels of the Oxford Community Schools also bear responsibility for the tragedy that occurred at OHS on November 30, 2021, as set forth in detail in this report.

Tate’s father Buck Myre took to Facebook Tuesday calling out the state government, including Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
Whitmer got a hold of our family to attend Tate’s funeral. We respectfully said no thank you. Tate was a gatherer of people, not a divider (like every politician). That is why we said no. However, I have emailed her at least 6 times over the past two years, without a reply!!!!

Myre is calling on everyone to attend the Oxford School Board meeting on Tuesday November 14th at 6:30p.m. He is calling for accountability. The meeting will be taking place at Oxford Middle School 1420 Lakeville Rd, Oxford, MI 48371.

The complaint states the parties listed above failed to provide for the safety and welfare of district students on and before November 30, 2021, resulting in the deaths of 4 students, the injury of 7 others, and immeasurable trauma caused to the entire community. The individuals identified in this report failed to follow Michigan law, policies, and required procedures and failed to follow, implement, and train for the District and High School Emergency Operations Plan. They were and are aware of their legal and ethical responsibilities under the Emergency Operations Plan and attested that they were, and are, aware of their duties and responsibilities and that failure to follow the EOP can result in injury and death.
