Nine year old girl disappears in New York’s Moreau Lake State Park

UPDATE:  Missing 9-year-old Charlotte Sena has been found safe, in good health and a suspect is in custody.  At the time of this update, police are still investigating as this is a fluid situation.

Nine year old Charlotte Sena disappeared at New York’s Moreau Lake State Park.  She was last seen on a bike ride on Loop A in Moreau Lake State Park around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, authorities say.

Charlotte Sena is 4-feet, 6-inches tall with blonde hair and green eyes and weighs about 90 pounds. When last seen she was wearing an orange tie-dye Pokémon shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs and a gray bike helmet.

“An Amber Alert shared by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children noted that she was taken “under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.”

An amber alert has been issued for the missing girl.  Anyone with information can call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or 911.

The New York State Police say “Charlotte is a bright and adventurous girl who loves to be outside,” the state police’s statement read. “Charlotte has a huge heart and wants to create a club at her school for kids who don’t have friends. She always put others first.”

“Please know that we continue to work around the clock to bring Charlotte home,” police added.
