SAGINAW, Mich – Michigan State Police (MSP) TriCity Post troopers are investigating an assault reported on January 1 in Taymouth Township.

A 65-year-old man was attacked inside his home, suffering life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and remains hospitalized in serious condition.
The suspect, Keith William Rex, 37, of Vassar, was identified as an acquaintance of the victim and was arraigned on January 8 for Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm.
The incident is still under investigation.
