According to an article on TheHill.com, Former President Donald Trump endorses Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for Speaker of the House. The former President also said he would take the job temporarily.
“He is a STRONG on Crime, Borders, our Military/Vets, & 2nd Amendment. Jim, his wife, Polly, & family are outstanding – He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House, & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.
Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) also has thrown his hat in the ring in a bid for the Speaker position.
