Isreal’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that Isreal has now declared war on Hamas in the Gaza strip.  This comes after Hamas shot rockets into Isreal and killing several people and injuring hundreds.  This was a surprise attack by the Palestinian group Hamas.  More than 2,000 rockets were launched into Isreal.

This is a fluid situation and updates are coming in by the moment.  Isreal’s Prime Minister has addressed his people and has asked people to stay in their homes.  Several cities along the Isreal-Gaza border have been attacked and prisoners have been taken by Hamas and it is unclear how many are citizens and how many are Isreali military personnel.
