MIDLAND, Mich – The Midland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of shots fired at a home in Warren Twp early Sunday morning at 2:35 a.m.
Investigators say a resident shot a person who was breaking into their home.
Sheriff Myron Greene says this is believed to be a targeted incident and there is no cause for concern regarding the safety of the general public. Sheriff Greene urges anyone to call 911 if they see any suspicious activity.
According to a news release, the person who was shot is in stable condition.
Investigators say five other suspects who were believed to have been involved in this incident are in the Midland County Jail and charges are pending.
