Government shutdown is looming
At midnight Satruday night, the government will shut down if lawmakers can’t make a deal. The one thing stopping the progress is additional funding to Ukraine. House republicans have refused to endorse a budget deal if Ukraine funding is not removed from the proposed budget.

At least one congress person has decided not to receive her pay if the government shuts down.
Rep. Abigail Spanberger D-VA has sent a letter to the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer requesting that her pay be withheld until the shut down ends.
