Florida – U. S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has dismissed the classified documents case against Donald Trump. The decision was due to the appointment of Jack Smith as the prosecutor. According to the judge, Jack Smith does not have proper appointment to prosecute this case. “Cannon dismissed the case on the grounds that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith violated the Appointments Clause of the Constitution.”
This charges against Trump surrounded him retaining and storing classified documents after he left the white house. It is also alleged that he refused to turn those same classified documents to the national archives when requested to do so.
