Armed Robbery at Rite Aid Pharmacy: Suspect on the Run

CLIO, Mich – In a daring daylight robbery on Sunday, April 7th, an armed suspect targeted the Rite Aid Pharmacy on 100 E. Vienna Street. The incident, which unfolded at around 1:45 PM, has left the community in shock.

Eyewitnesses describe the perpetrator as a black male, approximately 5’10” in height and weighing around 160 lbs. He initially entered the pharmacy, scoped out the number of customers present, and stepped out, waiting for the right moment to act when fewer people were inside.

The robbery took a tense turn when the suspect returned, picked up two prepaid Visa cards, and handed the cashier a note claiming he was armed and demanding cash from the register. Despite the interruption caused by a woman and child entering the store, the robber coerced the clerk into activating the cards for substantial amounts before making off with the cash and cards.

Fleeing the scene in a dark-colored SUV, possibly heading north on Mill Street, the suspect made away with a total of $1,500. The police urge anyone with information to come forward and contact 911, referencing CPD C# 24-084.
