HARRISBURG, Pa. – The investigation into Trump’s alleged shooter’s phone has frustrated the FBI. According to the FBI, the encryption software that was used is delaying the investigation due to the software being difficult if not impossible to crack. “The FBI investigation into the failed July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has revived the argument over whether Big Tech firms should provide law enforcement with a backdoor method to break their own “unbreakable” encryption.”
The Secret Service received warnings of an Iranian plot to kill the Former President in the weeks prior to the assassination attempt. Law enforcement officials however, do not believe that those warnings had anything to do with the alleged shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks.
