LEWISTON, MAINE – Lewiston, Maine Police have identified the suspect in the mass shooting as 40-year-old Robert Card.
Law enforcement reported Card was recently hospitalized for hearing voices and threatened to shoot the National Guard Base in Saco, Maine.

Card was released from a mental health hospital after being admitted earlier this year.
According to the Main State Police Card is a trained firearms instructor and is also believed to be in the Army National Reserves out of Saco, Maine.

“Law Enforcement is attempting to locate Robert Card 4/4/1983, as a person of interest regarding the mass shooting at Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation this evening. CARD should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts.”
