BIRCH RUN, Mich – A Michiga State Police Tri-City Post trooper was struck while conducting a routine traffic stop on I-75 N and Birch Run Rd. The trooper sustained serious injuries and was swiftly transported to Hurley Hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, the trooper succumbed to the injuries and has passed away.
