Burton, Michigan – A 13 year old boy was found dead after a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Burton late Thursday.  The fire happened in the fire happened in the Creekwood Mobile Home Park off Bristol Road around 10:45 p.m.

The mother and her 11-year-old daughter made it out of the home.  The mother reported that her 13 year old son was still in the home.  Burton police attempted to enter the home prior to fire crews arriving to rescue the boy but were forced back outside due to flames and smoke.

“The residence was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene. Fire crews from Burton and Grand Blanc Township located the teen’s body inside the residence after putting out most of the flames Thursday night.”
