GRAND BLANC, Mich – UPDATE: Police say nothing suspicious was found.
Grand Blanc High school was placed in lockdown due to a threat that was called into 911.
The district says the threat was vague and that there is no verification that the threat is credible.
In a letter to parents the district says they are being exra cautious. Students have been sent home while law enforcement searches the school.

The districts says students are being cleared from the school in an orderly mannger. Students who drive are being released to their cars and those who ride the bus are being guided safely to bus transporation.
Surrounding buildings on campus have also been placed in secure mode out of an abundance of caution until the threat has fully been investigated. This includes the Perry Center and Brendel Elementary.
In a statement to parents the district says they are working with law enforcement to investigate the threat.
The Grand Blanc Police Department posted the following:
We have had an anonymous caller this morning call in a threat to Grand Blanc High School. The school is on lock down as we investigate and ensure everyone’s safety. The school is currently making arrangements to release the students when we feel it is safe to do so. Parent’s please await notice from the school.
“All proper protocols and safety measures have been taken to ensure student safetyu. Further communication will come once more information is obtained. Expect updates every 30 minutes,” said the Grand Blanc school district in a statement.
